The City of Tyler Solid Waste Department offers subscription-based curbside recycling to residential customers. Residents can sign up for this optional program and receive two curbside recycling pickups per month for $2.50 plus tax per month. A recycling cart is included in the subscription price. Materials DO NOT have to be sorted.
Recycling is picked up twice a month on Wednesdays, depending on your location. To find your curbside recycling day click here. |

Items NOT accepted and why:
Glass--it breaks inside the truck's compactor and becomes a hazard to workers (Clear, Brown and Green glass is accepted at the Recycling Drop Off Center at 418 N. Bois D'Arc Ave.)
Plastics #3, #4, #5, #6, #7--these types of plastic have a very low rate of recyclability
Plastic grocery bags--please recycle them at any Brookshire's Grocery Stores
Books--please take them to Goodwill
Electronics--please take them to Goodwill or the Tyler Recycling Collection Center at 418 N. Bois D'Arc Ave. |
